Our Mission
Zackary Wilson Miller II, Navy Special Warfare Operator Chief Petty Officer (SEAL) lived with purpose, and that’s how we carry his legacy forward. The Zack Miller Legacy Foundation brings good people together around the globe to do what Zack did best: show up, enjoy life, and take care of each other.
We raise money to advance the fight against glioblastoma while honoring the courage and character of Zack. Every dollar raised is channeled into education, innovative research, and preventive therapies that push the boundaries of brain-cancer science.
What We Do
We bring community together to celebrate life, enjoy some friendly competition, and raise money for a cause worth fighting for.
The Foundation hosts events around the globe, often anchored our flagship events to the annual dates that allow us to celebrate Zack’s whole life: Zack's birthday on September 5th and June 4th, the day we lost him. We’ve done field days and chili cook-offs, mountain races and outdoor concerts. Each year brings something new, but they all share the same formula: great people, good times, and a purpose bigger than any one of us.

Zack’s Story
One of service, heroism, grit, and a true love of life…
Zack Miller was the kind of man who lit up every room he walked into. Kind, funny, loyal, and full of a Southern charm that made strangers feel like old friends. Whether he was calling his mom between training sessions or cracking jokes in the middle of stressful moments, his enthusiasm and love for the people and good times never wavered.
A University of Alabama graduate and standout athlete from Mobile, Alabama, Zack enlisted in the Navy in 2004 with a singular goal, to become a Navy SEAL, and went on to earn his Trident, serve seven deployments including multiple combat tours in Afghanistan.
In his final battle, Zack faced glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer that took his life just six weeks after diagnosis on June 4, 2021, in Virginia Beach. True to form, he maintained his passion for life until the end.
The speed and devastation of his loss inspired a mission among those who loved Zack to make sure fewer families face the same fight. That’s why the Zack Miller Legacy Foundation exists.
